Online theory + 3 days of practical or 5 days in the classroom
The GWO Basic Safety Training Offshore is divided into the following 5 modules:
Module 1: Working at Heights
Module 2: First Aid
Module 3: Manual Handling
Module 4: Fire Awarness
Module 5: Sea Survival
Online Version – Blended
Introducing “Blended Version” – a smart combination of online theory and 3 days at our course center. Complete theory modules online, cutting costs and minimizing time away from work.
Choose between two extended days with online modules or opt for traditional classroom sessions based on your preference.
The BST Offshore will equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to appropriately respond in the event of an emergency and to increase their safety through proper use of personal protective equipment, emergency equipment and procedures.
Target Group
Personnel who will be working in the wind industry or related fields. Personnel that perform job functions that have been risk assessed by their employer or their workplace duty holder as a function, where training according to one or more modules of the BST standard may mitigate of the identified risks.
Validity Period
- The certificates have a validity of 24 month.
- Certificates shall be renewed before the end of a given validity period. GWO Basic Safety Training Offshore Refresh
- If the certificates are expired, the participant must attend the applicable BST module(s) training(s) to obtain a new training record
