We recently installed Evacuator escape descent system on our 30 meter high wind energy training tower.

This is a system developed in Netherlands that ensures safe and rapid evacuation/descent from the top of wind turbines (up to 150 meters high), even in the event of a turbine fire.

There was recently a fire in a wind turbine in Harøya in Ålesund, and unfortunately, there have been fatal accidents in turbine fires where technicians were unable to evacuate.

We are proud to be the first place in Norway where this system has been installed, and in this way, we can contribute to the further development of the industry.

When conducting GWO Working at Heights or GWO Advanced Rescue Training at Energy Innovation, we will now integrate training with this system. This enhancement ensures our course participants gain an additional experience, elevating the course beyond its original scope.

Energy Innovation is the dealer of the system in Norway. If you are interested to have it installed in your on- or offshorewind farm to strenghten the safety of your technicians, please take contact with our sales consultant Tomine-Alice Hetland Aase.

THE EVACUATOR ESCAPE DESCENT SYSTEM SIGNIFICANTLY IMPROVES THE SAFETY AND SURVIVABILITY OF TECHNICIANS IN THE WIND INDUSTRY

The system secures a 10 second escape from the top of a turbine, and are designed to save lifes at heights.

Our collaborators from the Netherlands are set to conduct a demonstration on March 13th as part of the program for the “Excursion Day at Energy Innovation” event. The excursion to our training and education centre in Egersund is an ad-on to the “High Wind” Offshore Wind Conference in Stavanger on the 12th of March.
