The course updates and maintains core offshore safety competence for wind operations, with emphasis on current safe-work practices, emergency response, and the correct use of PPE and emergency equipment. Upon completion, participants will understand key offshore hazards and how to control and mitigate them, and will be able to respond appropriately to emergencies using established procedures, equipment and PPE with confidence.
Course Content
The Basic Safety Training Offshore Refresh covers the following five modules:
- Working at Heights Refresh
- First Aid Refresh
- Manual Handling Refresh
- Fire Awareness Refresh
- Sea Survival Refresh
Certificate Validity Period
- The certificate is valid for 24 months.
- Participants must renew certificates and training records before the expiration date. If a certificate expires, participants will need to complete the full BST Offshore training to obtain a new training record.
