This course fulfils the Norwegian Electrical Safety Regulations (FSE – Regulations on Safety Related to Work in and Operation of Electrical Installations). It applies to personnel working on low- and high-voltage installations and includes general first aid and specialised first aid for electrical accidents (electric shock). Participants will be able to apply FSE requirements in daily work, recognise and control electrical hazards, and provide immediate first aid—including measures specific to electric shock incidents.
Course content
- FSE regulatory framework and duty of the employer/employee
- Safe work practices on LV/HV installations (roles, procedures, documentation)
- Risk assessment and control measures, PPE
- Incident response and reporting
- General first aid
- First aid for electrical injuries (electric shock)
Compliance & renewal
Annual retraining is mandatory. There must be no more than 12 months between training sessions.
