Norwegian authorities require that personnel working on poles or masts complete annual refresher and evacuation training.
The employer is responsible for ensuring that all employees have the necessary competence and documented training.
The Annual Evacuation Course provides repetition and practical exercises for participants who already hold valid certification in pole or mast climbing.
The training is designed to meet the requirements of Section 7 of the Regulations on Safety Related to Work in and Operation of Electrical Installations, which forms the basis for safe evacuation and rescue of an incapacitated person.
