This standard has been prepared to give those who work in a wind turbine a greater understanding of the risks associated with rescue operations, and should give the participants skills in various forms of effective rescue operations from different situations, in different parts of a wind turbine. The training should give participants greater security and skills in rescuing a colleague who is unable to evacuate on their own, to a place where professional emergency responders can take over responsibility. During the training, rescue equipment, rescue methods and techniques are used that exceed the basic module GWO’s Working at Heights.
The standard consists of two main modules and a single editing version of each: – Nacelle, Tower & basement Rescue (two days) – Hub, Spinner & Inside Blade Rescue (one day) – Single Rescuer – Hub, Spinner & Inside Blade (half day) – Single Rescuer – Nacelle, Tower, basement (half day) Most people request «only» the main standards, three days – and this is what we basically offer. It is entirely possible to register for only one module.
Training through Egersund Energy Hub includes: One certificate for each of the modules that are implemented. The certificates are valid for two years. Use of high-quality course equipment. As part of the course price, a hot lunch is included (for courses that last more than half a day).
