The EU plans for Offshore Wind is to be their most important energy source by 2040. By 2050, investments of more than 1,200 billion euros in offshore wind developments in Europe are estimated, and operation and maintenance to a value of approx. 300 billion euros. Further – the plans for developing On- and Offshore Wind throughout the world is tremendous.

Energy Innovation aims to help in the process transforming the energy mix – making the long-awaited transition to renewable energy possible fighting climate change, through training and educating the needed skills.

From December 2022 Energy Innovation is owned 47,5 % by NorSea Group / Wilhelmsen, 47,5 % by IKM Group, with the remaining 5 % by CEO Frank Emil Moen.

At our facilities in Egersund, south west Norway, we hold many aspects in the field of Onshore and Offshore Wind and Green Tech. Beside innovation, research & development, we offer training, certification, education, and consultancy services for the wind Industry and Green Tech. We have partnered with Sustainable Energy Norwegian Catapult Centre and collaborate closely with NORCE (Norwegian Research Institute AS) and other Norwegian and foreign research institutes and universities, as well as energy companies and industry. Energy Innovation has been actively involved in the establishment and development of Norwegian Offshore Wind – an innovation cluster with more than 360 member companies, where Managing Director Frank Emil Moen has a position in the board.

Energy Innovation is now developing a franchise for GWO training and wind tech education centers around the world. The first center will be certified in February / March 2023 in New York.
