This part-time Enhanced First Aid (EFA) course includes both online and in-person training at the training centre. The online portion replaces one day of physical attendance and must be completed before attending the centre, reducing the time required on-site while ensuring a consistent baseline of knowledge. The in-person component focuses on practical application through hands-on instruction and scenario-based exercises, with additional support provided for any areas of uncertainty. The combination of theoretical and practical learning ensures participants are prepared to deliver effective, short-term care to injured or ill persons in remote or high-risk work environments, particularly in wind turbine generator (WTG) operations, while awaiting professional emergency response.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Deliver lifesaving first aid appropriate to the WTG environment—immediate, safe, and effective interventions.
- Operate independently in remote settings, leveraging advanced emergency equipment and medical teleconsultation where appropriate.
