This course provides participants with fundamental knowledge and skills in the safe use of fall protection equipment. The main objective is to strengthen safety when working at heights and to meet the required training standards for both onshore and offshore work.
The course complies with training requirements from the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority (Regulations), the Petroleum Safety Authority, NORSOK, and the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association. The course can be expanded with additional modular training as needed.
Course Content
The training covers, among other things:
- Risk assessment for work at heights
- Loads and falls
- Attachment points and anchoring
- Use of harnesses, lanyards, vertical safety ropes and fall arrest blocks, including practical exercises
- Maintenance, inspection, and storage of equipment
- Product training on fall protection harnesses
Certificate Validity Period
- The certificate issued upon completion is valid for 48 months
